Quext and Apple: Imagining the Future of Student Housing

Earlier this month, Quext had the unique opportunity to co-host a Student Housing Summit at Apple’s headquarters in Cupertino, alongside our partners at IRIS, Allegion, and Apple. The summit brought together senior leaders from some of the top student housing operators across the country for a focused conversation on the future of access technology, digital identity, and connected living in student communities. These weren’t presentations or pitches. They were thoughtful, candid discussions about where the industry is today, what’s working, what isn’t, and where we all want it to go.

We talked about the increasing demand for seamless, app-based access experiences. We dug into the realities of integrating new tech across diverse portfolios. And we explored how digital identity could play a bigger role in simplifying everything from move-ins to maintenance to day-to-day living for residents and operators alike.

Apple’s campus was the perfect setting for these conversations. It’s a space that feels intentional in every detail, something that really resonated with our team, since we believe smart apartment tech should feel just as thoughtful and seamless. Being in that environment sparked a different kind of thinking and reminded us why it’s so important to keep pushing for smarter, simpler solutions in multifamily.

What made the event even more meaningful was the collaboration. Our partnership with IRIS, Allegion, and Apple continues to grow stronger and this summit was an important step forward. The alignment around resident experience, data privacy, and scalable innovation was real, and it left us excited about what we’re building together.

We walked away from Cupertino with fresh ideas, stronger relationships, and a clear sense of momentum. And while we’re not ready to share all the details just yet, we can confidently say: this is just the beginning. Keep an eye out for more at NAA Apartmentalize!
